Best: Wild and/or line-caught fish
Generally speaking, your preference should be for wild fish, preferably line-caught (as opposed to caught in huge nets, which often kills numerous other fish which are then disposed of). It's safest to stay away from the large deep-sea fish (swordfish, tuna, shark), which can be contaminated with mercury. Also, please avoid buying and ordering endangered species, such as Chilean sea bass and red snapper. See www.mbayaq.org/cr/seafoodwatch.asp for a complete guide to making fish choices for both environmental and health reasons.

Huge selection, clearly labeled as to origin. Keep your eye out for fresh sardines (delicious broiled quickly [2 minutes a side] with a little olive oil and a squeeze of lemon)!
